Visitors to Sandusky Harbor Marina will enjoy easy access to all of the Erie Islands including Put-In-Bay/South Bass, Kelleys Island, Rattlesnake Island,  Middle Bass, North Bass, and Pelee Island.  There are also plenty of local sightseeing and entertainment opportunities for the whole family.  The Thomas Edison Birthplace Museum and the Merry-Go-Round Museum are two of the more popular cultural attractions in the Sandusky area.  For those looking for more adventure, Cedar Point Amusement Park, known as the roller-coaster capital of the world, and Cedar Point Shores Waterpark are located a short boat ride or drive from the marina.  Sandusky also has a variety of trails for biking and hiking along with canoeing and kayaking for visitors who want to stay on the water.

From beginning to end the Lake Erie Coastal Trail offers diverse adventures for the naturalist, the history buff, and the recreations.  Search for exotic birds at the Magee Marsh Wildlife Area/Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge, consistently ranked a top 10 birding spot in North America. These areas have spring and fall waterfowl and songbird migrations that attract 150,000-plus visitors a year. Bordering Lake Erie for its entire length, the Byway also offers excellent fishing and swimming along with boating.  At dusk, relax on a luxurious, sunset Lake Erie cruise, complete with fireworks.
